If it wasn’t already clear, this is the era of super hero movies. This Christmas, yet another Spider-Man movie will hit theaters this Christmas. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is an animated film that looks similar to video game art styles which should be refreshing for movie-goers used to Disney’s heavy influence over the animation game.
Also I don’t know why anyone hasn’t mentioned this yet, but it the trailer is in 3D so be prepared for some mind games if you watch without the glasses. I’m a general fan of heroic movies and optimistic for this to do well despite that it’s yet ANOTHER spider-man movie. But c’mon, it’s 2018. Can I get some more female lead heroes in theaters before we bleed out the same old characters from Marvel?
