Doorbell camera’s are great for catching package thieves and also interrogating your daughter’s first date.
We live in a world where everything is high tech. Cars are smarter, vacuums are cordless, and doorbells have cameras and microphones on them. My husband initially wanted to get one of these doorbells. But I told him we might as well scrap the bell and go straight for an outdoor camera. Other than UPS delivery and trick-or-treaters, who uses the doorbell anymore?
Well perhaps doorbells are still used by your only daughter’s first date. This poor soul was grilled by this protective father, but he handled the situation gracefully. What’s even better is that he held open the car door for his date, not knowing he was still being watched.
I’m not sure how I would feel having a conversation with a doorbell, but it’s 2019 and this is now happening. I would also put money that if my dad had this technology, he would be just as nosy.

From Inside Edition:
One Massachusetts dad wasn’t home to meet his daughter’s date, but that didn’t stop him from vetting the poor guy. Dad Pedro Lugo was at work, but when Jared Downey walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell, he picked up via his Ring camera’s intercom, and quizzed him on his intentions with his daughter Grace. “I get to see your face, but you don’t get to see mine,” Lugo told Downey, laughing. There was some debate about what time the couple would come home.
