Anna Kendrick is “Noelle” in the new Christmas movie for Disney + streaming November 12.
When Disney+ is released, my husband and I plan on dropping Netflix like a hot cake and switching teams.
Please don’t hate me for putting out a Christmas movie trailer when it’s still August. I know that the thought of holiday movies right now seems horrible. On the other hand, it helps to know what movies we can look forward to this holiday season.
This movie falls somewhere above Hallmark grade but below movie theater quality. I am interested in the role that Bill Hader is going to play as Noelle’s brother, aka: Nick Kringle. My guess is that somehow we’re going to end up with Noelle as the next Santa Clause figure, proving some awkward feminism point about a woman leading Christmas without needing a man in the role.

From Walt Disney Studious:
In Disney+’s holiday comedy “Noelle,” Kris Kringle’s daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something “important” like her beloved brother Nick, who will take over from their father this Christmas. When Nick is about to crumble like a gingerbread cookie from all the pressure, Noelle suggests he take a break and get away…but when he doesn’t return, Noelle must find her brother and bring him back in time to save Christmas.
