Guess who’s making YouTube videos again? It’s ya girl Phoenix here, with a charcoal peel mask tutorial tip for you!
Back in 2012 I used to make YouTube videos for Her Interactive, the makers of Nancy Drew PC games. Those videos were the highlight of my summer in Washington state, so I’m back to make some original content about the topics I enjoy most! And of course, one of those topics is my fascination with beauty gurus. So your guru Phoenix is here to tell you the right way to apply a charcoal face mask.
It’s fairly easy to do at home, but you’re going to need a few ingredients before you begin.
- Charcoal Powder [Viva Doria Virgin Activated Charcoal Powder – Food Grade (1.2 Oz Glass Jar) $7.49: https://amzn.to/2G8Knmi]
- Elmer’s Glue [Elmer’s Washable No-Run School Glue, 4 oz, 3 Pack $6.90: https://amzn.to/2VwLQYR]
- Small Bowl
- Spoon
Mix equal parts glue and charcoal powder in a small bowl. I started with 1 tablespoon of powder and 1 (or more) spoonfuls of glue. Add more glue as you see fit. Mix until you have the right goopy consistency and there is no more loose powder.
Apply to your face where you’d like to clean out pores. I recommend starting with your nose and chin before you apply anywhere else on your face.
Let the charcoal mix dry (can take anywhere from 15-25 min depending on how thick the mix is on your face).
Carefully peel off your face. Then wash away the excess.
Be sure to apply moisturizer to your skin after you’re done with the mask, and you are good to go!
