Sanago is the brand of a 3D pen and also the alias for this pen artist that can make anything with filament including a functional bow and arrow. His recent creation is an ode to the Netflix zombie movie, Kingdom.
BEFORE you start watching this video, be sure you turn on the Closed Captions on the bottom right hand of the video. Don’t be turned off by the fact that all his videos are in Korean. I promise you’re going to want to read the subtitles because Sanago’s humor is delivered so effortlessly with such a dead pan voice, it’s guaranteed to make you laugh.
I discovered Sanago’s works a few months ago and I enjoy all of his soothing 3D pen builds. His tone of voice is very calming and when he delivers a hilarious comment, it’s quite unexpected.
This particular build is no doubt sponsored by Netflix. I’m highly impressed that Sanago is able to make a functional bow and arrow with his filament, a few pieces of thin rods and some slim wooden sticks for arrows. Wait till the end, I promise you’ll see it in action.
I haven’t watched Kingdom on Netflix but from the trailer I can tell you it has to do with zombies in Asia.
According to Netflix, here is the official description:
In a kingdom defeated by corruption and famine, a mysterious plague spreads to turn the infected into monsters. The crown prince, framed for treason and desperate to save his people, sets out on a journey to unveil what evil lurks in the dark.
A Gat hat is worn by a few of the characters on the show and is the first recreation that Sanago attempts. It is a traditional Korean hat worn by men during the Joseon Period. In a way, it reminds me of the hats the Amish still wear today.
