This song of “Misty Mountain” from The Hobbit will leave you with chills from the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
Sometimes I don’t know if I like things more because of my husband’s obsession, or if it’s truly me who is the one pursuing my own interests. Anyone else feel that way? Regardless, I clicked on this video when I was alone so I say that’s a good sign that my interests remain my own.
You don’t have to be a fan of Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit in order to appreciate the vocals of this talented Danish orchestra.
But if you have seen The Hobbit or read any of J.R.R. Tolkien’s books, then this song might just crave that itch to know how “Misty Mountain” should sound. And let me just say that the man’s voice who sings this passage is so deep… you might just grow a beard whilst listening.
This performance of “Misty Mountains” is incredible. My only complaint is that more voices should have chimed in with the main singer to give it that true choir effect. But then again, maybe the conductor couldn’t find enough baritones to reach this level of greatness.
