Watch Gus Johnson tell it how it is when it comes to college students trying to bring classmates together on a film set.
Gus Johnson is a goofball. He does sketches and plays multiple characters to fill out very relatable but not all that plausible scenarios. Matt loves his humor and I have to say that even though we find very different content funny, I do enjoy watching Gus. Maybe you’ll see more of his content coming soon.
This particular reenactment hit home for me though because my major was in Media Communications and I had multiple film classes. And yes, I know exactly what it’s like being on a “film set” set up by a bunch of NOOBS that have no clue what they’re doing. I’ve even been an extra on a few sets and boy was it rough. It’s true that there’s a lot of waiting, awkward acting, and never any refreshments.
Gus nails it on the head with this depiction of students figuring out how to shoot and piece together a story for class. Heaven knows it wasn’t for anything else. Fortunately I’ve never had to put on a whole production on my own (in school that is, work however…) because otherwise I’m sure I’d make all the same mistakes. That’s why I got into video editing instead. Hand me the footage and let’s go! I’ll make mountains out of molehills.
