Toy Story 4 full trailer is out today! Have you watched it yet?
Like Disney’s Aladdin remake, I’ve had a lot of feelings for this latest Toy Story 4 movie. I remember hearing when there would be a fourth movie shortly after the third one was in theaters and had make adults and children weep worldwide. Like many of you, I groaned and grumbled at the continued saga because of course, it felt unnecessary.
I still was excited for the teaser trailer that featured Key and Peele’s voice over for new toys. This full trailer reveals a bit too much of the story-line for my liking. And it seems awful similar to Toy Story 1 and 2, harking back to Woody going missing and Buzz not believing he is a toy. Both of these events happen to Forky. And Woody is again tempted by an opportunity to be surrounded by children for the rest of his life.
Some things I do like: I like that Bo Peep is now a heroine-esque figure. I think it’s brave to put in creepy toys from an antique shop to give us more of an adult twist, but other than that… this plot line feels pretty similar.
Then again, I’ve been deceived before and come out of a movie in total awe and inspiration. Either way, I will be watching this in theaters June 21st this summer.
For more Disney trailers, check out the latest Aladdin trailer which is much better than the photos and teasers we’ve seen before.
From Disney/Pixar:
On the road of life there are old friends, new friends, and stories that change you. Watch the new trailer for Toy Story 4 now, in theaters June 21.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
