The trailer is finally here for Avengers 4 End Game. What are your thoughts?
Before my husband and I watched the last Avengers: Infinity War movie with Thanos, we re-watched all the Marvel movies. Starting with the first Iron Man and ending with the most recent Thor 3 movie, we caught up on every character’s backstory fresh in our minds.
That being said, going into Avengers: Infinity War, the story was that much more impactful. When the credits rolled, I cried. I cried as if someone told me my house burned down and I lost all my possessions. I cried as if someone called me and told me I’d lost a dear friend. I cried and cried throughout the entire credits. Then I left the theater to go cry some more in a bathroom stall. The pain and the loss for me was so easy to perceive through the eyes of some of my favorite characters. I was shocked and confused. While I applaud the direction the movie went, I still cried for all those affected by Thanos’s actions.
Now here we are and there’s a new Spider Man trailer, an article that we’re to expect another Guardians movie, so you know that even though the Marvel world is in pieces, something miraculous sets it all right again. I’m a little disappointed that one of the most talked about on-screen deaths *cough, Spider-man, cough* gets completely ignored when his next trailer is released with him in it and completely unscathed from whatever Thanos did to him.
So… thanks for spoiling that Disney. But this trailer is just the right amount of serious and somber after the ending of Avengers: Infinity War. Thanks goodness we have Ant Man for that bit of comedic relief, am I right?
