Velvet Buzzsaw is a Netlflix horror movie about contemporary art killing people in creative ways…hehe. Pun intended.
I’m starting to notice a lot more movies conveniently filmed in LA and making the story fit around the location. That being said, this would be more epic to take place at the MOMA in New York. But hey, I guess the LA modern art scene is just as good.
Also noticing that horror movies are slyly trying to play off the fact that they are indeed horror movies. After watching this trailer, I knew this is no mere “thriller”. If there is more than one horrifying death scene, it’s a horror movie. I recently watched Annihilation and that was a HUGE MISTAKE because it was more horror than suspense/thriller. If you’re curious, just read the book because my husband tells me it’s vastly different.
I wish I could say I’m going to watch this movie when it comes out, but I don’t do horror. However, I can appreciate the trailer and tell that this will be an exciting movie for anyone more daring than myself that enjoys a scarier plot line.
