Marvel has released their Captain Marvel trailer! (Confusing, right?) Are you excited or exhausted?
I’ll be honest, I binged all the Marvel movies before Infinity War came out came out this year. I was fully informed on all the characters, their locations and back stories and cried my eyes out during the last Marvel movie. (Literally, the entire credit scene I was a sob fest and went to the bathroom to cry some more when it was over.)
According to the gossip, Captain Marvel is supposedly the heroine who saves all the Avengers from the evil acts of Thanos (whom I actually support after having lived in LA for over two years… #snapitup).
This trailer is… basic. It’s not bad but it’s not mind-blowing either. I’d be more interested in a movie about Black Widow, Okoye from Black Panther, or a movie about Gamora and Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy and what it was like growing up with Thanos as a dad.

Unfortunately, what I’m left with is a basic blonde (sorry blondes) who is supposed to outsmart Thanos and out-best him? If my ladies from the last movie couldn’t stop him, I’m gonna have issues if a rando chick swoops in as the savior of all my favorite characters. I’m all for women power, but is it wrong of me to not want her to be able to take down Thanos single handed?
Of course I’m going to see the movie when it comes out. But time will tell if it will be worth the hype.
