Justice for Barb! In this Netflix movie, Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, Shannon Purser, better known as “Barb” from Stranger Things, is back on Netflix.
The premise is Sierra Burgess, aka: Barb, aka: Shannon Purser is not so popular in high school. She is considered a “loser” because of… her looks? She comes off as a straight A student so I don’t know where the loser persona is coming from…at any rate, the school either shuns her or ignores her. Sierra starts cat-fishing some jock who randomly gets her number and thinks she’s a smokin’ hot cheerleader.
Sierra plays along and befriends the dumb cheerleader to help pull off this con and she’ll help the cheerleader not be dumb. You know this is going to be some fun fluff peice about how awful high school is, the pressures of looking like the ideal skinny cheerleader, and overcoming insecurities.
Well bring it on! I’m all for Barb…I mean Sierra… to kick some ass and find her mojo.
