Why did no one tell me about this video sooner?! Lea Salonga and Brad Kane, voices of Jasmine and Aladdin, performed together at the 1993 Oscars.
Aladdin is legit my favorite Disney movie. That Aladdin hair swoop makes my heart skip a beat. And the fact that the producers styled Kane’s hair the same way? *swoons* I don’t really care for all the background dancers, and the slight change in music pitch. This legit would still be perfect if it was just the two of them on stage.
And thus, 23 years later they performed again! Today is the first time I’ve heard Brad Kane sing again and I’m so please to be hearing the “adult” version of Aladdin’s voice. (I know the video might look like it’s offline, but it works, I promise!)
